Viewing Post for: Bhutan 2017

Date: Tuesday, October 24, 3:30 pm
Location: Barashong, Bhutan.

Don't look on a map. Basically down by the river, deep in a valley, 11,800 feet. No one around.

Starting with trekker comments because Jerry has been working on this all day:

"Lorraine, saw this awesome rock, took a picture of it, wish I could show you now, looking forward to showing you in India." Jerry

"Ollie and gang, thanks for keeping in touch" Garth and Sarah.

"Dear E and A, hope you had a great time at cottage. We walked 10 miles today on and up and down trail. Saw lots of beautiful sights." Roro.

"Mimi, the trek has been awesome up until now. I have not showered in 7 days. Which is something I know you will appreciate. Hope all is well. See you soon. Love Paul."

We must be feeling the oxygen again as the comments at moment around tea table are off the tent wall. Back in the trees. Huge. Lovely Spanish moss dangling. Larch have turned yellow. Giant colorful cliffs loaded with waterfalls. The stream has this gentle green color as it rushes by us around boulders. In camp the horses are loose so they occasionally trip over the tents.

Enjoy the pleasure of deep, oxygen-filled breaths on your last days trekking! We are all so anxious to hear your stories and see your photos. Kiddos have so many questions. Daily life continues here, but must seem so other for you all in this moment. As always, I am to inform you that Ford is being well cared for and his presence is adored. Love you!

Enjoy the beauty of the valley. The weather is changing here. Down jackets are now needed. (The rut is now on!!)

Your trip sounds amazing! I am enjoying my vacation too - going for long walks and getting lots of treats. The weather has been warm here and the leaves are starting to fall. Looking forward to seeing you next week.Love, Ollie

Oxygen is overrated....but what do I know being here at 500 feet above sea level... I can't wait to see pics and hear stories.

I am looking forward to seeing the rock pic and especially you. I am thinking that we can shop around India for the patio curtains. That would make them extra special and a reminder of our trip to India together. Keep icing and stretching. Only 4 more days to India.
