DESCRIPTION:

World-class kayaking is as close as a 6-hour drive from Rochester! Going to Georgian Bay after the summer season allows us to explore windswept islands with lighthouses and sheltered coves without boat traffic. Called the 30,000 Islands for a reason, once the summer residents have left the place is ours. This trip is for people seeking an area of solitude and adventure. We will be paddling 10-15 miles per day. The emphasis is on exploring, though. We will have to select our route based on the winds. On the outer islands, waves can build to huge. On the inner islands, we can find sheltered coves. We will reach into the rocky, barren, spectacular areas as much as the weather will allow. This adventure is one of Marcia's (Rick's wife) requests, so it must be good!

Meets in Rochester, NY
Saturday, September 8th - Sunday, September 16th, 2018
Cost: $999/person
