Nestled in the foothills of Canada’s Rocky Mountains, Calgary is a place where visitors come to explore the heritage of the Canadian West. Calgary is the best of both worlds for travelers. It is a vibrant cosmopolitan city, yet it is surrounded by pristine lakes, mountains and forest. Who could ask for anything more? We will be flying in and out of Calgary. This western frontier city is the gateway to the Rockies. We will be spending about 4 days exploring Banff and the surrounding wilderness and then we will move down the highway to the exciting wilderness surrounding Jasper. World-class hiking, hotsprings, glaciers, wildlife, history, and scenic beauty are yours to enjoy on this 9-day adventure to the Canadian Rockies.
