Introduction to Freestyle Canoeing
280607

Freestyle canoeists have the ability to make their boats dance on water. This art form of precision boat control creates a harmonic blend of boat, paddler and paddle. The skills learned will make all of your paddling easier and more enjoyable. Now is your chance to try tilting , twisting and turning your way into this amazing sport. After being outfitted with paddle, solo boat and PFD, you'll start the morning by fine-tuning your flatwater skills and move on to understanding, if not perfecting, freestyle terminology and maneuvers. With a small group size of only 5 participants you'll have instruction tailor-fit to improve your skills. To learn more about freestyle canoeing check out www.freestylecanoeing.com and on Saturday, June 14th stop by the ADK Outdoor Expo at Mendon Ponds to talk with the instructor, Marc Ornstein, as he and others prepare to show off their skills in some freestyle demos.
