Start your summer off right with this popular paddle! " Low Bridge !" and ice cream await you on this fine, summer day canoe outing. You may drive by it and over it all the time without much thought, yet the NYS Barge Canal is an important part of our local history. Take some time to slow down and canoe this waterway that winds its way through our area. This trip is excellent for beginners and a great way to get out with your dad for the Father's Day weekend! You will start with basic canoe instruction, so don't worry if you are used to traveling by barge and mule. Then, hopefully we will be able to paddle into a lock and be lowered down to a new level. We will enjoy a picnic lunch and stop in Pittsford for ice cream.
